so, Miss UPH Scholar 2009 is officially over!
well, two of my friends did not manage to clinch any of the titles, but, i believe this was indeed a new and unforgettable experience for them! :D
by the way, there was a (they call it as) technical problem during the announcement of the top 3!
oh, before i elaborate it, Kezia managed to get into the top 10 and Ike was in the top 5!
CONGRATS, girls! :)
so, the story goes like this:
they were trying to announce the top 3 finalists by using the lighting thingy.
you know, when you are eliminated, the light will go off and there you go, you are not qualified for the next round.
so, they finally got the top 3 finalists.
and one of them was ike!
we were all like cheering and happy for her!
and the three of them were asked to wait in the backstage.
suddenly, they told the audiences that they actually made a mistake.
ike was not one of the top 3 finalists.
and this is the part which i despise the most:
they did not even bother to apologise to ike, publicly.
hello, come on!
how would you feel if you were in her shoes?
just a thoughtful yet sincere sorry would do, i believe..
this is just not the way how a classy event should look like.
moreover, there were a few judges coming from outside the university, such as agni pratistha.
image? there you go!
the thing is, we did not really mind about who got the crown, but, how supposed-to-be professional MCs and EO handled this (humiliating) problem.
ckckck..
am not trying to be the judge or anything here.
it is just a mere opinion, i must say.
it is just that i am truly disappointed.
lesson learnt, i suppose.
let us just hope that history will not repeat itself.
and by the way, i had kind of a bad day today.
no talking about that, please.
hmmm..
